General Information:

Haakaa - Breastfeeding Nipple Shield - Round Base, specially designed for lactating women with sensitive or sore nipples who wish to continue breastfeeding. The shield fits securely against the breast, protecting it from further damage. Its unique shape creates a space between the breast and the shield, making the feeding process painless while promoting the healing of sore nipples. The anatomically designed shield allows the baby to control the flow of milk, helping the mother experience a more comfortable and less painful breastfeeding experience.

Usage & Care

Before first use, clean the shield in warm soapy water then place in boiling water for 5 minutes. This is to ensure hygiene. Before each subsequent use clean carefully to ensure hygiene. Although dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing in warm soapy water and rinsing and drying thoroughly. To sterilise the shield, use a steam steriliser or boil in water for 2-3 minutes. Do not boil or steam sterilise the storage case. Other common methods of cleaning, storage and use not listed in this manual may damage the product. Please do not use bleach-based cleaners or tablets to clean this product. Only soft bristle brushes or soft sponges should be used to clean this product. Store in the storage case with the nipple shield facing up.

Before use, sterilise the shield in boiling water and ensure your hands and breasts are clean and dry.
Squeeze the chamber, fold back the base and centre over the nipple. Press onto your breast and slowly release until you feel suction. You may need to adjust a few times until you find a comfortable position

TIP: Before suctioning to your breast, express a few drops of milk into the shield. This will encourage your baby to accept the teat as they latch on.

Storage Conditions:

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of sharp objects, children, and pets.
