General Information:

The Haakaa Silicone Feeding Tube is an ideal choice for mothers looking to introduce additional nutrition into their baby’s feeding routine during periods of low milk supply or weaning, without compromising the benefits of breastfeeding. One end of the tube easily attaches to the Haakaa Generation 3 Silicone Baby Bottle and the X-shaped variable flow nipple, while the other end connects to the mother’s nipple, making the feeding process as natural, comfortable, and convenient as possible.

To regulate the milk flow, simply apply light pressure to the bottle or use the feeding tube regulator. The cleaning brush included in the kit makes it easy to clean the tube, and the medical-grade silicone pacifier adheres gently to the skin, ensuring easy and painless removal.

Usage & Care

Before first use, disassemble and clean the product before placing silicone components in boiling water for 5 minutes to sterilise. Wash before and after each subsequent use. To clean the tubing, fill the compatible container with warm soapy water and connect the feeding tube as normal. Squeeze container to let it flow through the tubing. Use the included cleaning brush to scrub the inside of the wider parts of the tubing. To clean the thinner sections of the tubing, squeeze the container several times to flush through with warm soapy water. Squeeze and roll tube bet ween your fingers to ensure thorough cleaning. To rinse the tubing, flush several times again with clean, fresh water. Repeat as needed until clean. Only soft bristle brushes or soft sponges should be used to clean this product, as hard scourers may scratch the surface. To sterilise the tubes, tube adaptor & tube holder, use a steam steriliser or boil in water for 2-3 minutes. AVOID placing the flow controller in boiling water or sterilisers. Brush NOT suitable for microwaves, sterilisers or boiling water due to stainless steel components. Do not use any bleach-based agents or sterilising tablets to clean this product. Do not use a UV steriliser to clean this product as it may impact its lifespan. Clean tubing as soon as possible after feeding to prevent milk drying inside. It is important that all residual moisture dries.

• Place the food in the bottle and carefully insert the large end of the tube into the slot of the X-shaped variable flow nipple, ensuring not to damage the surface of the feeding tube. Then, carefully close the bottle cap.
• Place the other end of the tube 1-2 cm from the breast and secure it with medical tape and a tube clamp.
• Gently place the breast and feeding tube into the baby’s mouth.
• Create a milk flow in the tube by gently squeezing the base of the bottle. You can control the flow intensity by adjusting the pressure on the bottle.
• Alternatively, the flow can be regulated using the flow controller, which allows you to precisely adjust the feeding rate to suit your baby’s needs.

Please note: The bottle and X-shaped variable flow nipple are sold separately.

• Do not use a damaged product.
• It is not recommended or safe to leave the tube with the baby without adult supervision.
• Before feeding, ensure that the medical tape is securely attached to the skin for comfort and safety.
• Keep in mind that it may take several attempts for the baby to feed easily through the tube.
• It is recommended to use the product only after consulting a doctor.
